The purpose of the SBA is to act in the best interest and for the benefit of its members, the student body. The SBA sponsors programs and activities of academic, professional, and social nature. The SBA is the representative of the student body with respect to the Law School administration as well as to organizations outside SULS.

The SBA is comprised of the Executive Council, the Executive Committee and the Board of Governors. The Executive Council and Committee function as the operational arm of the SBA, while the BOG formulates the policies of the SBA, supervises SBA activities, and approves the allocation of SBA funds.

Members of the SBA Executive Council and Committee are appointed by the President and Vice President with the approval of the BOG.
